Resumen


La enfermedad hipertensiva en el embarazo es una de las primeras causas de morbimortalidad. La siguiente revisión pretende dar una visión de su fisiopatología, a la luz de la biología molecular. Se analizan los factores de riesgo, basados en la evidencia, el diagnóstico y el manejo, según las guías nacionales e internacionales, que permite tener un enfoque actualizado de una patología frecuente, para el especialista y para el médico general. Los autores desean que este documento sea de utilidad en la práctica médica.
